It Aint Over Until the Gap Is Filled...

One of the most interesting patterns I've seen when watching stock markets, is watching gaps being filled. Whether it is a gap up or a gap down, gap fills are easy to predict, they happen, they may take time, but they happen.

After the last gap up, we still haven't seen the market close that gap. If the market wants to go further, we'll have to wait for this to be gap to be filled. After the gap fill, we can revisit to see the direction.

Gap (Yellow Box) Waiting To Be Filled

One of the headlines that is causing the markets to be jittery, around the world is the Corona Virus. There have been reported deaths, and while the virus has a 3% death rate, that is low compared to MERS and SARS, which came earlier. The reason why this is causing panic, is because there is no treatment apparently. Those who do recover, do so after rest for 2-3 weeks.

Nevertheless, 2-3 weeks can drop your productivity, and as I write this I have a nose block and sore throat! (Who wouldn't get worried!?) Despite my father being a doctor, I still prefer simple remedies. So honey in warm water for the throat, and salt water to gargle, and plenty of fluid intake to keep myself hydrated. Can't do anything about a nose block until the body responds to clean things.

One of the things I noticed when traveling through India (especially on trains), is that people do not cover their mouth when sneezing or coughing, this is because they haven't been trained. And I only wonder how disease doesn't spread so much here!

If you're sick, stay at home, take rest and stop spreading it to your colleagues and friends and everyone you come in contact with. Yes, you may be a professional and committed to your job, but you also have a commitment to protecting others as a human, be considerate!

In the meanwhile, if you'd like to see how the markets fair - check this after two weeks...
